Joined host and Duke University Professor Mark Anthony Neal in a conversation about the politics of Black Hair and Beauty. Ashe is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Richmond and the author of Twisted: My Dreadlock Chronicles (Agate, 2015).  Bullock Brown is an award-winning and Emmy-nominated producer and an assistant professor in the Department of Film & Interactive Media at Saint Augustine’s University. Her current project is the documentary Baartman, Beyoncé and Me.
