Author of numerous books including In the Break: The Aesthetics of the Black Radical Tradition (University of Minnesota Press, 2003), The Little Edges (Wesleyan University Press, 2015), B Jenkins (Duke University Press, 2010), and The Feel Trio (Letter Machine Editions, 2014), among others. He is the co-author along with Stefano Harney of The Undercommons: Fugitive Planning & Black Study (Minor Compositions/Autonomedia, 2013). His three most recent publications referred to as the consent not to be a single being trilogyBlack and Blur, Stolen Life, and The Universal Machine – were published by Duke University Press.
